Hong Kong intelligent logistics platform Zeek launches quick commerce solutions in Hanoi, Vietnam

Following its foray into Ho Chi Minh City in the fourth quarter of 2020 and its successful partnership with Circle K Vietnam, one of Vietnam’s largest local convenience store chains, Zeek said Thursday it has expanded its footprint in Vietnam with its launch in Hanoi in November 2021.

Zeek said in a statement that following Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the startup intends to continue expanding its local presence across Vietnam, poised to become its business growth engine in the Southeast Asia market, given the market’s reception to its solutions, a large young population, and accelerated digital adoption.

Besides Vietnam, the intelligent logistics technology company has bolstered its regional presence with its Malaysia expansion in the same year.

To date, its hero products – ZeekNow (30-min instant delivery for time-sensitive products), ZeekDash (2-hr/4-hr Flexible Delivery), and ZeekSolutions (a one-stop SaaS and fulfillment solution) – are available in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

“We are committed to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups possessing limited budgets and in-house capabilities with the technology to accelerate Q-commerce adoption.

“We have shifted towards leveraging in-house riders to empower our partners with consistent delivery and smart logistics support in the new normal and beyond,” said John Nguyen, Head of Business of Zeek in Vietnam.

“Our rider fleet has also helped numerous small-and-medium-sized food and beverage businesses stay afloat in this difficult period,” he added.

Zeek is an innovative intelligent logistics platform that leverages artificial intelligence, logistics technology, big data, and a solid foundation to provide a spectrum of logistics services to individual, commercial and e-commerce clients including district-wide delivery services and living goods delivery, as well as software as a service (SaaS), tailored to corporate business needs.

Zeek is currently serving international food and beverage (F&B) brands, super departmental stores, chain convenience stores, online platforms, among others, with its business coverage beyond Hong Kong to Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and upcoming plans to set foot in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Taiwan.

Unlike other on-demand logistics providers in the market, most of Zeek’s riders are roster riders with a committed income. This approach helps provide a more professional and reliable delivery service, especially amidst strict social distancing measures.

Zeek experienced a 3.5 times growth in the fourth quarter of 2021 from the previous quarter with over 200,000 orders from all clients in Vietnam last year. Its rapidly growing delivery fleet of over 5,000 riders now covers 22 districts and Thu Duc City in Ho Chi Minh City, from only 6 districts at the start of 2021.

Zeek is also the partner providing smart logistics platform for CK GO, the Online Ordering of the International brand CVS – Circle K, developed based on the ZeekSolutions Quick Commerce. Especially, Zeek brings the fast commercial experience to customers of CK GO, allowing the immediate product receiving within 30 minutes.

Moreover, through the ZeekSolutions Fleet Management module, Zeek has helped drive automated rider management and enhanced transparency for Pizza Hut’s value chain across Vietnam.

Besides providing delivery service for food and F&B chains, Zeek is expanding its services and products to serve a more diversified clientele including grocery sellers, social commerce platforms, farm-to-table startups, food review communities, ghost kitchens, and 5-star restaurants.

The company aims to support its clients to generate online traffic, conduct customer profiling, and enhance product-customer targeting, thus maximizing sales efficiency and market competitiveness.

Zeek is currently collaborating with Homefarm, a Vietnamese food chain that has recently received investment from Alibaba-backed electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP).
